The Washington State Department of Health seeks a Health Workforce Analysis and Planning Supervisor to lead initiatives improving healthcare access and equity. This remote position offers the chance to tackle workforce challenges through data-driven recommendations and strategic planning, significantly impacting public health across Washington.
Health Workforce Analysis and Planning Supervisor
This is a remote project position that will be funded through July 31, 2026.
What You Will Do:
As the Supervisor for the Health Workforce Analysis and Planning Unit, you’ll play a critical role in tackling workforce challenges, improving healthcare access, and guiding data-driven policy decisions. You’ll lead a team of analysts to develop workforce analytics and surveillance systems that address healthcare shortages, particularly in underserved and rural communities. Your work will directly impact strategic workforce planning, policy development, and healthcare access across the state.

Location and Flexibility
We value work-life balance and offer the convenience of remote work with occasional in-person collaboration opportunities. This is a remote/home-based position available to applicants residing anywhere in Washington State, as well as those living near the Oregon/Washington border and the Idaho/Washington border. Attending events or working In-office is rarely required and would be scheduled in advance.

Option 1: Ten years of professional experience in workforce analytics, quantitative research and analysis.
Option 2: Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Health Economics, Health Services Research, or a related field, AND five (5) years of professional experience in workforce analytics, quantitative research and analysis.
