Job description

OUR MISSION: Chileda's mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with cognitive and behavior challenges. Chileda's goal is to help students increase their appropriate social behaviors and develop independent living skills, through an enriched learning environment and individualized behavior programming.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  2. Provide first aid treatment for minor injuries.
  3. Respond to urgent medical concerns on campus including seizures and serious illness or injuries and seek the assistance of the appropriate medical professionals (e.g. nurse's hotline, poison control).
  4. Observe students in times of illness, consult with outside medical professionals, and provide recommended treatment as needed.
  5. Communicate student's health and wellness needs to other members of the Health and Wellness team or cross-functional peers.

GENERAL HOURS

  1. Full time or part time available, 2nd shift hours between 3:00pm-11:00pm

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  1. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Must be at least 18 years old.
  3. Current certification in First Aid and CPR.
  4. Successful completion of CBRF Medication Administration training or willingness to attend training.
  5. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  6. Proficient PC skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Outlook and Word.
