The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, healthcare exposure, and basic computer skills, with preferred training in Medical Terminology and Health Unit Coordination.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Completion of Medical Terminology course preferred.
• Health Unit Coordinator Course Or Commensurate Experience Preferred.
• Graduate of Medical Office Professional course or completion of Medical Assistant Program preferred.
• Annual mandatory education and professional development activities expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admissions, discharges, and daily care coordination for assigned unit.
• Maintain patient charts and ensure timely charting in EPIC.
• Support patient care delivery via HUC worksheets and routine chart checks.
• Monitor and manage unit supplies and setting up patient education materials.
• Coordinate with nursing staff and other departments to facilitate smooth patient flow.
