Job summary

Kingman Regional Medical Center is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to support nursing unit operations and coordinate patient care. Under RN supervision, provide continuous observation, assist with patient transport, and maintain accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include receptionist duties, patient scheduling, and use of the electronic medical record system. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential for coordinating with patients, families, and clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with computers, office equipment and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily unit operations by performing receptionist and clerical duties to coordinate patient care.
• Represent the unit with polished customer service for patients, families, staff and physicians.
• Initiate discharge folders, patient portal information, and patient information code card on admission.
• Coordinate patients’ daily schedule including tests, exams, x-rays, procedures, and transportation.
• Maintain and organize patient medical records and perform 24-hour chart checks.
