Job summary

Responsibilities

• Accurate transcription of physician orders.
• Reviewing orders as written and notifying the nurse of STAT orders.
• Completing computer order entry and forwarding to the appropriate department.
• Scheduling diagnostic tests with the appropriate department.
• Document completion of orders transcribed and related clerical work for admissions, transfers or discharges.
• Unit and chart-related clerical duties and HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information.
