Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso seeks a Nursing Assistant/Health Unit Coordinator to perform clerical and patient-care support on the nursing unit. You will handle medical records, order processing, typing, and materials management while assisting visitors and staff in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe unit and performing nursing assistant tasks under supervision of RNs, LVNs, or managers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent completion required.
• Completion of UMC HUC training within 6 months of starting position.
• One of: Nursing/Medical Assistant training or RN training or international RN equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform general clerical and receptionist duties on the nursing unit.
• Maintain medical records and process orders and typing tasks.
• Assist visitors, nursing staff, and health care team members.
• Support in maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Perform Nursing Assistant duties under supervision of RN/LVN/Management Associate.
