Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) in the NICU. This part‑time role covers 12‑hour day shifts from 5am to 5:30pm with rotating weekends.

You will perform clerical duties at the nursing station, manage inventory, and organize supplies and equipment as directed. You may also restock supplies and assist with bed movement throughout the unit.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Completion of ward secretary course or medical terminology training.
• MOAB I/II within 30 to 150 days for PSJ employees in ED, 2T and PARC.

You will work at the nursing station and performs clerical and reception duties. Inventory, order and organize supplies, equipment, and services as directed. Other duties include restocking of supplies throughout unit and movement of beds.

Required qualifications:

• MOAB I/II required within 30 to 150 days of hire for PSJ employees working in Emergency Department, 2T and PARC.

Preferred qualifications:

• Healthcare experience
• Experience with EPIC and Microsoft products - Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
• Completion of course for ward secretaries and medical terminology.
• Vocational/Specialized Training.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
