Shriners Children’s in Portland, OR, is seeking a part-time Health Unit Coordinator to support Nursing leadership in an inpatient setting. The HUC will handle clerical duties, patient registration, communications, and supply coordination.

Requirements include 1 year of transcription and medical terminology, 1 year of computer applications and typing, and BLS. Preferred: 3 years in a similar unit role and EMR experience. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Job Description

We currently have an opening for a part-time Health Unit Coordinator to join our Portland, OR team. The HUC is responsible to Nursing leadership. Provides clerical and office support in the inpatient setting. The HUC is responsible for answering phones, directing communications, registering patients in the computer, maintaining patient information (paper and computerized), transporting specimens, and procuring needed supplies, medications, and blood products.

The pay range for this position is $21.97 - $32.95. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
