Work Schedule:

This is a part-time, 60% FTE day/evening shift position. Shifts are scheduled for 8- and 12-hour shifts from Monday to Friday between 7:00 AM and 11:30 PM, including every other weekend. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to:

  1. Utilize excellent communication and organizational skills to support patient care.
  2. Collaborate with the clinical team to coordinate all aspects of patient care, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  3. Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate electronic health records and perform clerical duties.
  4. Maintain control and order under stressful conditions and periods of high unit activity, while communicating effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Education:

Minimum - High School Diploma.

Work Experience:

Minimum - One (1) year of experience in a medical or customer service environment or similar experience.

Preferred - One (1) year of experience in a medical environment.
