A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to enhance unit productivity and provide excellent customer service. The role involves clerical duties, scheduling, and monitoring patient care. Ideal candidates will have experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
This position plans, organizes, and implements the non-nursing functions of assigned unit(s) to facilitate workflow, enhance unit productivity, and provide excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff. The role promotes efficient unit function and indirect resident care. Responsibilities include performing clerical and reception duties, requisitioning supplies, equipment, and services as directed, assisting with scheduling, observing telemetry monitors when indicated, and notifying patient caregivers of any changes. Additional duties may be assigned.
Preferred candidates will have experience or training in a hospital or clinic setting as a health unit coordinator, medical secretary, or medical receptionist.
