The J5-6 Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) , a 12-bed unit, provides specialized care for postoperative cardiac and thoracic patients. Common procedures include coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair or replacement, MAZE procedures, myectomy, Ross procedures, as well as thoracic surgeries such as lobectomy, pneumonectomy, and esophagectomy.
A caregiver in this position works nights, 7:00pm-7:30am.
