Job summary

Bayer is seeking a National Account Director, Health Systems, to drive sales and growth across major health systems and IDNs in the USA. The role partners with regional and field teams to execute strategy, develop plans, and win new business in health systems.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in pharma sales with hospital experience, formulary expertise, and strong leadership and analytical skills. Travel 25–50% regionally and nationally is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
• Experience with hospitals/health systems in account management.
• 5+ years in pharmaceutical sales with hospital/health system focus.
• Formulary and pathway adoption experience.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building.
• Willingness to travel 25–50% regionally.
• Willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strategic account sales plan to achieve or exceed sales targets within assigned nationally targeted health systems and hospital networks.
• Collaborate with RADs and AGMs to identify opportunities to grow product adoption.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies.
• Lead and coach RADs to meet sales objectives and ensure best practices.
• Organize training with Learning and Development on products and regulations.
• Engage in business development activities, including conferences and meetings with stakeholders.
• Regularly report on sales performance and market trends.
