Job summary

Stout is seeking Associate Consultants to join Stout Strategy in Health, where you will collect, analyze, and synthesize data to drive strategic insights for life sciences clients.

You will conduct primary and secondary research, support market sizing and forecasting, and travel to conferences as needed, with access to AI tools to enhance analysis and problem-solving. A strong biology background and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BA or BS focused on biology, biochemistry, biotechnology and/or life sciences with a May 2027 graduation and strong academic record (min 3.5 GPA).
• Advanced degree welcomed but not required.
• Prior experience (incl. internships) in research, consulting, pharmaceuticals, or similar preferred.
• Working knowledge of drug development and commercialization lifecycle.
• Aptitude for networking, primary and secondary research.
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
• Desire to learn and quickly master new subject areas.
• Excellent communication, technical writing, and critical thinking skills.
• Time management and multitasking in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Advanced MS Office skills, including PowerPoint and Excel.
• Self-starter mentality; ownership and problem-solving mindset.
• Comfort using generative AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) to enhance research.
• Foreign language abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to deliver high-quality work for health clients.
• Support development of global KOL networks and primary research with clinical trial sites.
• Conduct secondary research of press, publications, and industry events for market insights.
• Contribute to product and service improvements and coverage of earnings calls and conferences.
• Build strong client maps and contribute measurable value to relationships.
• Assist in due diligence workstreams: market sizing, forecasting, surveys, and competitive analysis.
• Travel domestically or internationally to support global conferences.
• Leverage AI tools to generate insights and support decision-making.
• Contribute to a fast-paced, high-achieving firm culture.
