Job summary

Grow Early Learning is seeking a Health Services Program Development Specialist to design and oversee health and safety services in a Head Start environment. The role provides training and technical assistance to programs to promote optimum health outcomes.

The in-office position requires extensive travel and focuses on developing health services manuals, data analyses and partnerships with health providers to support migrant and vulnerable families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Maternal and Child Health, Public Health, Health Education, Nursing or related field; three years TA experience.
• Master’s degree preferred; experience in health and safety of young children and families.
• Strong confidentiality, communication and analytical skills; knowledge of Head Start standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, development and implementation of health and safety services.
• Provide training and technical assistance on health topics via webinars, center visits, email, and calls.
• Ensure training aligns with Head Start Standards and agency policies.
• Track health services data and develop reports for program improvement.
• Develop Health Services Manual processes and training materials.
• Analyze data for self-assessment, community assessment and strategic planning.
• Support centers in health care provider partnerships and Promotores programs.
• Maintain monthly calendar and submit weekly reports on time.
• Present at National Conferences when requested; attend professional workshops.
