Job summary

CoreCivic in the United States is seeking an Assistant Health Services Administrator to lead the facility's health care delivery and medical program activities. Under the Health Services Administrator, you will direct or coordinate clinical, administrative, and support services to ensure high-quality care in a correctional setting.

The role requires a nursing or healthcare/business degree, a valid license, and at least two years of healthcare management experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited college or university with a degree in nursing or in a healthcare/business related field is required.
• Advanced degree and current licensure in nursing or related healthcare field is preferred.
• Two (2) years relevant management experience in a healthcare environment required.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of correctional custody methods and facility rules, regulations and standards, and principles of supervision and management.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Manages clinical services, administrative services, pharmacy and medical support services for the facility.
• Communicates responsibilities, authorities and accountability to direct reports.
• Analyzes health care and fiscal data and advises leadership on trends and indicators.
• Maintains positive relations with staff, contract providers and outside agencies.
• Contributes to development and implementation of long and short term health care policies and plans.
• Supervises staff, conducts training and performance evaluations, and manages leave and licensure requirements.
• Monitors the health care budget and advises on shortages and adjustments.
• Coordinates internal reviews and audits to ensure compliance with standards.
