Job summary

STEP, Inc. seeks a knowledgeable and organized professional to oversee comprehensive health services for children and families participating in Head Start and Early Head Start programs.

This role supervises Health Advocates and coordinates health screenings and follow-up services, while overseeing health plans, medication procedures, and compliance with health and safety requirements. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, public health, health education, health services,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, health education, health services, nutrition, social work, or closely related field required.
• Experience in health services, public health, child health, or a related field required.
• Supervisory experience preferred; Head Start/Early Head Start experience strongly preferred.
• RN or other relevant health credentials preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee comprehensive health services for children and families in Head Start and Early Head Start programs.
• Supervise Health Advocates and coordinate health screenings and follow-up services.
• Oversee health plans and medication procedures and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Support nutrition and mental health coordination within the program.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety requirements.
