Job summary

Sunrise is seeking a Director of Health Services to oversee medical services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role ensures optimal health and wellbeing, supervising nurses and CNAs, and coordinating with hospitals and other professionals.

The position requires a current RN license, at least 3 years of supervisory experience, and a valid driver's license. Experience with IDD is preferred, and all regulatory documentation must be accurately maintained.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 3 years of driving experience with a valid license.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and oversees health services according to the individual’s plan ensuring each individual’s optimal health and wellbeing.
• Supervises nurses and CNAs and provides constructive feedback and training through positive interactions, role modeling, and mentoring.
• Creates a positive interacting team which collaboratively works with all disciplines.
• Ensures all documentation is completed according to regulatory requirements.
• Acts as liaison between hospitals and other medical professionals advocating for least restrictive measures and protection of rights.
• Performs all professional duties within the scope of licensure and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
