Job summary

Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a Health Services Administrator for the Westminster St. Augustine campus. This role supervises the Health Center and ALF, ensuring service consistency, operational efficiency, and revenue maximization.

The administrator leads clinical, managerial, and custodial teams, oversees admissions, care plans, and billing, and collaborates with the Executive Director and other directors to maintain high standards of care and family satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health care services administration, business administration, or nursing administration preferred.
  • Must have valid FL Nursing Home Administrator’s License.
  • One to two years related experience (five years’ supervisory experience in hospital or health facility preferred) or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the nursing home facility, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide leadership to clinical, managerial, and custodial teams, promoting effective collaboration.
  • Hire, train, and manage staff at all levels, including handling terminations when necessary.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure residents’ individual care plans are followed.
  • Meet or exceed standards of quality of care, compliance, staffing, recruitment, and retention.
  • Conduct regular safety and compliance training for staff.
  • Participate in the creation of the budget and maintain operations within the budget.
  • Oversee Care Coordination, Admissions, and billing.
  • Works collaboratively with the Executive Director, Sales and Marketing Director, and other key staff members to ensure continuity of care delivery to maximize resident and family satisfaction.
  • Assists department directors in developing and using departmental policies and procedures to establish and maintain rapport among all departments.
  • Assists the Executive Director in preparing annual operating budgets.
  • Reviews and maintains written records of all resident complaints and grievances, the action(s) taken to resolve and the status of the complaints and grievances.
  • Assists the Executive Director to direct, serve, attend, and participate in various committees of the community, and actively assists in responding to recommendations, actions, or concerns that may result in the committee process.
  • Assists the Executive Director to ensure that all personnel, residents, and visitors follow established policies and procedures, including safety regulations, fire protection and prevention policies, smoking regulations, infection control procedures, and waste and disposal procedures.
  • Reviews accident and incident reports and establish effective accident prevention programs.
  • Maintains professional competence and keeps abreast of changes in the CCRC and long-term care field through attendance and participation in continuing education programs, workshops, seminars, and training programs.
  • In the absence of or on behalf of the Executive Director, assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the overall management and control of the activities, programs, and services of the community, its residents and staff, and financial assets.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university (health care services administration, business administration, or nursing administration preferred)
Valid FL Nursing Home Administrator’s License

Job description

Westminster Communities of Florida is hiring for a Health Services Administrator located at our Westminster St. Augustine campus. This position reports to the Executive Director.

In this role, the Health Services Administrator is responsible for the oversight of the Health Center and Assisted Living Facility (ALF) ensuring consistency of services and programming, efficiency of operations and maximization of revenue.
