Job summary

The role designs evaluation plans, indicators, and logic models, and offers technical assistance to CDC staff and partners. The candidate will apply mixed methods to assess fidelity and contextual factors, facilitate meetings, and ensure compliance with government procedures.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in public health, health science, epidemiology, evaluation, social science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in public health evaluation or related field.
  • Experience conducting national assessments of program inputs, activities, outputs, and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct national assessments to evaluate program inputs, activities, outputs and outcomes.
  • Develop evaluation plans, questions, indicators and logic models.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative program data and report findings.

Job description

The Health Scientist II provides advanced evaluation and implementation research support for DDT and THEEB. The position conducts national and programmatic assessments, develops evaluation plans and logic models, defines evaluation questions and indicators, and applies quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods approaches to evaluate implementation processes and program outcomes. The Health Scientist II designs and conducts implementation research, including assessments of fidelity, reach, adaptations, barriers, facilitators, and contextual factors, and provides technical assistance and consultation to CDC staff, recipients, and partners.Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc. serves as a holding company with multiple subsidiaries engaged in several lines of business (Business Services, Health, Infrastructure and Engineering, Mission Optimization, Technology and Transportation) for the federal government and commercial enterprises. Other duties may be assigned.Experience conducting a national assessment of a program or project’s inputs, activities, and outputs to determine its value or worth and to improve the program.Experience developing an evaluation plan, identifying evaluation questions and indicators, collecting, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative program data, interpreting the data in the context of the program, and reporting findings.Experience developing a large-scale program logic model, identifying appropriate program outcomes, facilitating internal and external partner meetings, and providing assistance or training on evaluation, methods, concepts, and tools.Experience designing and conducting implementation research, including assessing fidelity, adaptions, reach, and other contextual factors.Knowledge of the rules, procedures and principles that govern intramural and extramural program development, monitoring, and evaluation.Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, and SharePoint) efficiently and effectively.Ability to use and manage CDC Administrative Systems (HUMAN SUBJECTS, OMB AND IRB, and E-Clearance) efficiently and effectively.Previous experience working with the government procedures and guidelines.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMaster's degree in public health, health science, epidemiology, evaluation, social science, or a related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
