Job summary

Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc. seeks a Health Scientist I to support program evaluation, performance measurement, implementation assessment, and technical assistance for THEEB.

You will help with evaluation planning, logic models, data collection, and reporting while applying foundational implementation research to identify barriers and opportunities for program improvement. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external partners, with the goal of improving public health

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in public health, health science, epidemiology, evaluation, social science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in public health, evaluation, health science, program monitoring, or a related field.
Experience conducting systematic assessments of program inputs, activities, outputs, and outcomes.
Experience supporting evaluation plans, evaluation questions, indicators, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
Experience developing program logic models and identifying appropriate program outcomes.

Job description

The Health Scientist I supports program evaluation, performance measurement, implementation assessment, and technical assistance activities for THEEB. The position assists with evaluation planning, development of logic models and indicators, data collection and analysis, interpretation of findings, and preparation of evaluation reports and presentations. The Health Scientist I applies foundational implementation research concepts and methods to assess program processes, implementation barriers and facilitators, and opportunities for program improvement.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
Bachelor's degree in public health, health science, epidemiology, evaluation, social science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in public health, evaluation, health science, program monitoring, or a related field.
Experience conducting systematic assessments of program inputs, activities, outputs, and outcomes.
Experience supporting evaluation plans, evaluation questions, indicators, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
Experience developing or supporting program logic models and identifying appropriate program outcomes.
Familiarity with implementation research concepts and methods, including process evaluation and assessment of implementation barriers and facilitators.
Experience facilitating or supporting internal and external partner meetings and providing evaluation assistance or training.
Knowledge of the rules, procedures, and principles governing intramural and extramural program development, monitoring, and evaluation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, and SharePoint.
Ability to use and manage CDC administrative systems, including Human Subjects, OMB, IRB, and E-Clearance.
Previous experience working with government procedures and guidelines.
Ability to successfully complete any government-required background investigation or security clearance, if applicable to the task order.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience conducting a systematic assessment of a program or project’s inputs, activities, and outputs to determine its value or worth and to improve the program.
Experience developing an evaluation plan, identifying evaluation questions and indicators, collecting, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative program data, interpreting the data in the context of the program, and reporting findings.
Experience developing a program logic model, identifying appropriate program outcomes, facilitating internal and external partner meetings, and providing assistance or training on evaluation, methods, concepts, and tools.
Familiarity with implementation research concepts and methods, including process evaluation and assessment of implementation barriers and facilitators.
Knowledge of the rules, procedures, and principles that govern intramural and extramural program development, monitoring, and evaluation.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, and SharePoint) efficiently and effectively.
Ability to use and manage CDC Administrative Systems (HUMAN SUBJECTS, OMB, AND IRB, and E-Clearance) efficiently and effectively.
Previous experience working with the government procedures and guidelines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in public health, health science, epidemiology, evaluation, social science, or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience. Experience should include program evaluation, data collection and analysis, logic-model development, implementation assessment, and public health program support.

The estimated pay range for this role is $87,740 to $110,000, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
