Job summary

The Center for Retention, Progression, and Graduation in the College of Health Sciences at Eastern Kentucky University seeks learning assistants who will support student learning in all CHS areas, with emphasis on nursing or occupational science/therapy.

Assistants collaborate with instructors and college staff to tailor learning experiences, working on campus with individuals and small groups, and sometimes leading workshops on study strategies and exam prep.

Qualifications

• Full-time student at EKU.
• GPA 3.0 required.
• Good academic standing with the University.

Responsibilities

• Support student learning in CHS courses, prioritizing nursing and/or occupational science/therapy.
• Work with instructors, department chairs, and college personnel to facilitate learning experiences.
• Lead on-campus one-on-one and small-group sessions; may run problem-solving/workshops on study skills and exam prep.
