Job summary

Mercer University’s Swilley Library seeks a Research Services Librarian for Health Sciences on the Atlanta campus. The role focuses on providing expert reference, instruction, and outreach in Pharmacy and related health sciences, including virtual and in-person consultations and 24/7 reference support.

The librarian will develop LibGuides, LibAnswers, and LibChat resources, participate in outreach, orientations, and collaborate across library departments to support graduate and professional

Qualifications

• An MLIS degree or equivalent from an ALA-accredited institution is required.
• Candidates should have working knowledge of library reference tools and services.
• Strong customer service and research assistance skills in an academic library setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide research services and consultations (virtual and in-person) to Health Sciences students and faculty.
• Create, maintain, and update LibGuides for Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
• Create and update 2-3 LibAnswers knowledgebase entries per month.
• Offer library orientations and instruction sessions on research methods and resources.
• Collaborate with library colleagues and participate in outreach activities.
• Support patron-driven acquisition and circulation processes as needed.
• Attend meetings and prepare monthly statistics/reports.
