Job summary
The University of Tennessee Health Sciences College of Medicine – Knoxville invites applications for the Director of the Preston Medical Library/Health Information Center. This full-time, non-tenure Associate Professor role provides vision and leadership for planning, directing, and evaluating services and resources for staff, faculty, students, and healthcare providers.

Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Library or Information Science from an ALA-accredited program is required.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a health sciences library is required. Demonstrated leadership in health science libraries and/or professional organizations.
- MLA and AHIP credentialing required within six months of service.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional leadership and overall direction for the library, including strategic and financial planning.
- Lead all operational areas of the library, including allocation of resources and personnel.
- Develop and manage annual budget according to university policies.
- Manage data collection and analysis of library services and resources.
