Job summary

Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) seeks a Health Science & Behavioral Associate III to coordinate quantitative and qualitative data collection for assigned projects and supervise survey research staff. This grant-funded position is 4 days onsite and 1 day remote, with standard Monday–Friday hours in a pediatric research setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, health education, nursing or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 2+ years experience in research coordination and/or community organizing.
• Experience working with children, youth, and families.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access preferred.

Purpose Statement/Position Summary:

The Health Science & Behavioral Associate III, coordinates all quantitative and/or qualitative data collection for assigned projects. Responsible for supervising and training survey research staff. Participates in data collection and is responsible for field documentation. Monitors the quality of data collected and manages field problems as needed. Duties are performed with minimal supervision with feedback and guidance from principal investigators.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience

• 2+ years of experience in research coordination, program planning conducting qualitative/quantitative research and/or community organizing experience.
• Experience managing staff and working with children, youth, and families.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access preferred.

Education/Licensure/Certification

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, health education, or nursing or equivalent combination of related education and work experience required.
• Master's or Master's student preferred.
