Job summary

David Lloyd Clubs seeks a Health and Safety Manager to oversee day-to-day safety, compliance and operations at our Los Angeles area club. You will act as Duty Manager, lead a frontline team and manage contractors to maintain high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Requires IOSH/NEBOSH or an equivalent H&S qualification.
• Facilities management qualification (HND, Diploma or similar).
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Act as Duty Manager to ensure smooth club operation.
• Lead and train a team of staff and self-employed contractors in safety procedures.
• Ensure day-to-day health, safety and regulatory compliance across the facility.
• Oversee maintenance and upkeep of the facility to meet standards.

As Health and Safety Manager you will regularly act as Duty Manager, taking accountability for ensuring the smooth operation of the club and ensuring day to day health & safety and compliance regulations are adhered to. About you:

As Health and Safety Manager, we are looking for someone who:

• Has an IOSH / NEBOSH or other relevant, recognised H&S qualification
• Relevant Facilities Management Qualification (HND, Diploma etc)
• Strong understanding and experience of Health and Safety regulations
• Experience in managing the maintenance and upkeep of a facility.
• Experience in managing a team in a service led facility(e.g. restaurant, attraction, retail unit, sporting or leisure facility)
• Passionate about customer service.
