Job summary

Clayton Services is seeking an HSE Supervisor to lead health, safety, and environmental programs in a Humble, TX manufacturing facility. You will drive regulatory compliance, reduce risks, and promote a strong safety culture across operations.

The role requires strong OSHA knowledge, incident investigation skills, and the ability to work with plant leadership to minimize operational risks. Direct Hire with excellent benefits and the potential for travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of HSE experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry training preferred.
  • ISO 14001/45001 auditing experience desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain plant health, safety, and environmental programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Maintain OSHA compliance programs and recordkeeping.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
  • Investigate accidents and root causes; implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate safety training for employees and contractors.

Job description

Clayton Services is searching for an HSE Supervisor to join a thriving manufacturing company in the Humble, Texas area. The HSE Supervisor will be responsible for leading health, safety, and environmental programs throughout a manufacturing facility while ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing workplace risk, and promoting a strong safety culture.

Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $75,000 - $100,000
Benefits: Excellent benefits available upon hire.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain plant health, safety, and environmental programs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain OSHA compliance programs and required recordkeeping.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, observations, and risk assessments.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and identify root causes.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain programs involving LOTO, HazCom, PPE, confined spaces, hot work, emergency response, and other industrial hazards.
  • Coordinate employee and contractor safety training.
  • Maintain emergency response procedures covering fires, spills, evacuations, and medical emergencies.
  • Support environmental compliance activities involving waste, stormwater, wastewater, emissions, and chemical management.
  • Maintain required environmental documentation and assist with regulatory reporting.
  • Support ISO-based environmental and occupational safety management systems.
  • Promote employee engagement and continuous improvement in workplace safety.
  • Partner with plant leadership and production personnel to proactively identify and reduce operational risks.
HSE Supervisor Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA General Industry requirements.
  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations affecting manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong incident investigation and root‑cause‑analysis capabilities.
  • Knowledge of LOTO, HazCom, PPE, confined-space entry, hot work, emergency action planning, and OSHA recordkeeping.
  • Understanding of environmental permitting, hazardous waste, stormwater, and chemical‑management requirements.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 preferred.
  • Strong leadership, training, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence employees and management regarding safe work practices.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel internationally for company-sponsored training.
HSE Supervisor Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of HSE experience within manufacturing, industrial production, metal processing, or a similar environment.
  • Experience supporting environmental compliance programs strongly preferred.
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry training is preferred.
  • ISO 14001/45001 auditing experience and First Aid/CPR certification are desirable.
  • Heavy manufacturing or metal‑processing experience is highly preferred.
