Job summary

DMC Mining Services is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environment Coordinator for its Tucson, Arizona operations. The role provides subject matter expertise to help achieve HSE objectives and supports the HSE Management System. DMC offers paid travel (Fly in/ Fly out) per rotation schedule.

Responsibilities include developing and revising safety policies, conducting inspections, ensuring employee training, maintaining accurate reporting, and facilitating incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Underground mining experience is required.
• Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed oral and written instructions.
• Computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development and revision of policies, procedures, and programs.
• Conduct inspections of facilities and ensure training of employees in safety and maintenance.
• Communicate and implement safety policies in compliance with HSMS.
• Ensure accurate safety reporting and distribution per HSMS.
• Facilitate investigation of incidents and accidents.
• Prepare materials for hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations.
• Participate in workers' compensation program administration and modified duties.
• Maintain safety files and training records.
• Plan and conduct safety meetings with crews.
• Respond to inquiries regarding policies and programs.
• Assist in needs analysis and delivery of safety education topics.
• Facilitate risk assessments and represent the organization in safety groups.
• Procure PPE supplies and assist with new employee orientation.

Summary

DMC is currently looking for a Health, Safety, and Environment Coordinator to join our team based in Tucson, Arizona. The HSE Coordinator is responsible to provide subject matter expertise and support in achieving HSE objectives. The Health Safety & Environment Coordinator assists in developing the HSE components to support the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the HSE Management system. DMC offers paid travel (Fly in/ Fly out) per rotation schedule.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the development and revision of policies, procedures and programs.
• Conducts inspections of all facilities.
• Ensures proper training of all employees in operation, safety and maintenance functions.
• Communicate and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with DMC’s HSMS.
• Ensures that all HSE reporting is accurate, complete and distributed as per the DMC HSE Management System.
• Facilitate the investigation of incidence, accidents and injuries.
• Facilitates the compilation and submittal of accident / incident reports required by DMC Mining Services and regulatory agencies.
• Cooperates in preparation of materials and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations.
• Participates in the administration of the workers compensation program, including the coordination of modified duties.
• Maintains safety files and training records.
• Plans and conducts inspection and safety meetings with crews.
• Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs.
• Assist in conducting needs analysis, development and delivery of safety education topics.
• Facilitate risk assessments.
• Represents the organization in the community and industry with respect to safety group programs.
• Purchases and assists with the procurement of PPE supplies.
• Assists with the orientation process of new employees.
