Job summary

Webdrill is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator for on-site work at a remote Alaska campsite. You will lead HSET activities, perform risk assessments, and coordinate MSHA-related training and reporting for underground drilling teams.

This role requires a current MSHA Blue Card, 4+ years in safety roles, and the ability to work rosters in challenging conditions. Camp facilities, rotations, and strong safety culture are offered.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current MSHA Blue Card (SU & IU).
  • Previous experience in HSET advisory roles within mining or underground drilling environments.
  • Strong knowledge of MSHA legislation, including Title 30 CFR Parts 46 and 48.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in the same or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of underground safety systems, risk management, and emergency response.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage crews at all levels.
  • Ability to work in remote Alaskan conditions on a roster-based schedule.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word and Excel.
  • Must hold a current driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement in safety performance and culture.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Prepare and submit MSHA quarterly reports.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete all ongoing MSHA reporting requirements.

Working a rotational schedule (Work schedule to be negotiated) at a remote campsite, located in Alaska. Employees are required to stay on site at the client provided camp during the work rotation.

Camp facilities provide dining service, games room, exercise & weight room, sauna, and accommodation rooms. Dormitory rooms have a land line phone, Wi-Fi & TV. Cell service is available through Wi-Fi.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site HSET leadership and guidance to underground diamond drilling teams.

What We're Looking For:

  • Ability to work in remote Alaskan conditions on a roster-based schedule.

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to pass a background clearance check, drug screening, and comprehensive physical.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to contribute in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Additional certifications in training, safety, or mining operations will be considered an asset.
