Amerex in Alabama is seeking a Health & Safety Engineer to oversee the site health and safety program, conduct audits, training, and incident investigations to maintain ISO 45001 and VPP alignment.

The role reports to the Health & Safety Manager and requires collaboration with operations to implement HS programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous safety improvements across facilities.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
• 5-7 years' experience preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of OSHA, NFPA, and ANSI standards.
• Working knowledge of VPP.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proven ability to work with all management levels.
• Excellent training and presentation skills.
• Manufacturing industry knowledge preferred.
• ASP/CSP is a plus.
• OSHA 501/511 is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Drive HS ownership culture across facilities.
• Develop and implement HS programs as directed.
• Lead HS audits and inspections.
• Perform safety and machine risk assessments.
• Coordinate LOTO and confined space procedures.
