Job summary

BSI Consulting Services seeks an experienced Health and Safety Consultant in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on delivering EHS programs, regulatory compliance and client-focused services to improve workplace safety across various environments.

You will conduct inspections, investigations, and training, and work to implement robust management systems while maintaining strong client relationships and professional communication.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in EHS consulting or corporate EHS program management.
• Strong ability to develop and sustain client relationships.
• General knowledge of EHS; excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to gather and organize data from multiple sources and plan/execute projects.
• Regulatory compliance experience, including Cal/OSHA audits.

Responsibilities

• Create/maintain/implement IIPP, hazard communication and chemical safety programs.
• Conduct accident investigations and prepare follow-up responses.
• Perform EHS inspections covering general safety, PPE, lockout/tagout, confined space, machine guarding.
• Create and deliver health and safety training.
• Develop or maintain management systems for EHS.
• Demonstrate expertise in regulatory compliance and audits.
• Conduct ergonomic evaluations in diverse settings and implement recommendations.
• Schedule evaluations and liaise with client employees professionally.
• Provide employee education on safe work practices and injury prevention.
• Support ergonomic program development and health/safety compliance.
