Job Overview :
The Health & Safety Department is seeking a dedicated professional Health & Safety Consultant with extensive technical knowledge and experience. The ideal candidate will build strong client relationships and deliver high-quality, cost-effective consultancy services. Ideally, you will be a chartered member of The Institution of Occupational Safety & Health or an equivalent organization.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Conduct yourself professionally at all times, including appearance, PPE use, and communication, ensuring compliance with company and departmental policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Visit client premises to carry out agreed contractual work.
- Undertake health and safety visits to client premises according to departmental protocols and contract requirements, especially where SLAs are in place.
- Submit relevant reports and documentation in line with client demands and departmental protocols.
- Advise and instruct clients on the use of Health and Safety Management systems, technical documents, and online services.
- Coordinate with HSE and other enforcing authorities on behalf of clients when necessary.
- Assist clients with accident investigations and other special investigations as required.
- Advise clients on health and safety standards and best practices relevant to their business.
- Provide management reports as needed.
- Manage time effectively to deliver efficient service to clients.
- Attend company meetings and training courses to maintain and update professional skills and knowledge.
- Maintain the company vehicle in a clean and secure condition.
- Support clients through effective crisis management when required.
- Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by your Line Manager.
