Job summary

University of Utah Health Plans in Murray, UT is hiring for a role that supports underwriting new and renewal group medical policies. You will collect, review, and analyze information, apply underwriting guidelines, and prepare proposals and reporting packages.

This position is for Health Plans use only. This position works with the Underwriting Manager and Actuarial team to collect, review and analyze information needed to underwrite new and renewal group plans.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
  • Collects, reviews and analyzes information needed to underwrite new business and renewal group medical policies.

  • Strong organization, time management and project management skills and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Strong computer skills including excel, access, and SQL.
  • Ability to negotiate and interact well with all professional levels within the healthcare industry.
Qualifications

  • This is a sedentary position in an office setting that may exert up to 10 pounds and may life, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. This position involved sitting most of the time and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
