Job summary

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of quality measurement experience in health plans or health systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field from an accredited institution.
• Certified Professional of Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required or must obtain within one year.
• Masters or Doctorate in Science or Health-related field preferred.
• Active RN license in California preferred.
• Advanced clinical licensure preferred.
• Knowledge of health plan quality requirements and accreditation standards.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to commute to meeting locations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the quality improvement expert with internal teams and external partners.
• Translate measure requirements into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
• Analyze performance data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Own enterprise performance on assigned quality measures, including county-level performance.
• Work toward consistent 4-star performance for assigned measures.
• Provide mentorship, share knowledge, delegate appropriately, and help team members mitigate challenges.
• Educate stakeholders on performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Recommend targeted activities and interventions to improve quality and outcomes.
• Lead process improvement design and implementation using industry trends and emerging best practices.
• Monitor and report key performance indicators and organizational measures.
• Ensure initiatives align with compliance, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Foster stakeholder collaboration and maintain relationships supporting improvement efforts.
• Perform other duties required for successful Health Plan operations and department needs
