You will ensure timely renewal notifications, gather critical data from internal and external parties, and maintain negotiation folders and related databases. The role requires attention to detail, strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP and pivot tables), and the ability to work from home in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience preferred.
  • Minimum of three years’ work experience as a health plan contracts coordinator or familiarity with contracts and managed care.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization, planning and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work from home in a hybrid setup.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain negotiations calendar.
  • Ensure renewal notices are sent to Plans in a timely manner with all pertinent details.
  • Obtain accurate information from internal and external parties for negotiation and analysis.
  • Maintain databases and folders pertaining to negotiations.
  • Complete internal ad hoc contracting requests and research sources for information.
  • Collect information to populate documents.
  • Schedule meetings, print, and mail documents as needed.
  • Support Health Plan Contracting Department duties.

Job description

Health Plan Contracts Coordinator (Hybrid)

This position serves as the coordinator to Health Plan Contracting team, supporting contract negotiations and renewal tracking for various managed clients. Primary responsibility will include ensuring timely notification to Plans regarding renewal, obtaining accurate data and feedback from internal and external parties necessary for contract negotiations, including but not limited to current membership, funding, shared risk reports, market trends, medical procedural coding definitions, etc. Teammate will also be responsible for maintaining the negotiation folders and updating the Smartsheet trackers and other databases pertaining to the negotiations. Other responsibilities may include following up on document status with Plans or clients, ensuring appropriate departmental presence in relevant meetings and discussions, completing ad hoc contracting-related requests,collecting necessary information to complete official documents, and other administrative tasks as may be necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain negotiations calendar.

  • Obtain accurate information necessary from both internal and external parties for contract negotiation and analysis.
  • Maintain databases and folders pertaining to negotiations.
  • Complete internal ad hoc contracting requests, including researching various sources to obtain necessary information.
  • Collecting necessary information to populate documents.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as schedule meetings, printing, and mailing documents as necessary.
  • Other similar tasks and duties to support the functions of the Health Plan Contracting Department.
  • High School graduate or GED equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience preferred.
  • Minimum of three years’ work experience as a health plan contracts coordinator or familiarity with contracts and managed care.
  • Detail-oriented, organization, planning and coordination skills required.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to multi-task while remaining adaptable and flexible to fast-paced environment.
  • Must be an organized self-starter and able to work from home.
  • Excellent communications skills and team-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, including the ability to perform v-lookup and create pivot tables required.
  • Basic working knowledge of Smartsheets and Adobe Pro required.
  • Basic working knowledge of Tableau and Power BI preferred.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical ability, ability to troubleshoot.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with EZCAP 6x, or other Healthcare management system preferred.
Salary Range:
  • $90,000 - $125,000 annually
