Job summary

Southern Nuclear seeks a Plant Health Physicist for Plant Farley to monitor Radiation Protection programs and drive performance indicators, including implementing RP projects and RP technical programs.

The role involves preparing for NRC inspections, site source control, dosimetry support, data tracking, and supporting administrative duties, with required health physics experience and relevant degrees.

Qualifications

• Experience in Health Physics or Radiation Protection programs required.
• PWR experience preferred.
• Outages and access control experience preferred.
• Must obtain unescorted badge at SNC sites.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Radiation Protection program and performance indicators.
• Implement RP projects and associated technical programs.
• Prepare for pre-NRC inspections for the RP Department.
• Oversee Site Source Control Program.
• Provide site dosimetry support.
• Track and trend radiological data related to plant performance.
• Benchmark industry Radiation Protection issues and site performance.
• Fill the Emergency Response Organization position as needed.
• Support RP department responsibilities and perform admin/document control duties.
