  • Support radiopharmaceutical therapies administration.
  • Instruct on radiation safety.
  • Assist the Radiation Safety Committee.

Requirements
  • Master’s Degree in Health or Radiological Physics, or Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years’ medical radiation safety experience
  • 2–3 years’ experience in medical radiation safety
  • Certification by a Health Physics Board (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety, bioassay procedures, and decontamination protocols
  • Ability to train and instruct healthcare personnel in radiation protection
What You’ll Do
  • Oversee all health physics activities, including personnel and environmental monitoring
  • Advise hospital departments on radiation protection and safety practices
  • Maintain records of radioactive materials, including receipt, storage, and disposal
  • Monitor ionizing radiation devices, ensuring safety for patients and staff
  • Distribute and process personnel monitoring equipment, track exposures, and recommend corrective action
  • Lead decontamination procedures during radiation accidents, on-site or off-site
  • Support radiopharmaceutical therapies to ensure safe administration and compliance
  • Instruct and train staff, students, and nurses on radiation safety
  • Assist the Radiation Safety Committee and participate in related initiatives
  • Stay updated on advancements in radiological physics and apply best practices
