Job summary

Rite of Passage at Silver Oak Academy in Keymar, Maryland is hiring a Health Teacher to deliver instruction, develop lesson plans, and support at-risk youth on-site. The role requires a valid state credential in Health and PE, a Bachelor's degree, and relevant schooling experience.

Qualifications

• Possess a current and valid State teaching credential Health and P.E. If only one credential, must have the ability to obtain the other within 90 days of hire.
• Have a Bachelor's Degree.
• Have related experience working with at-risk youth.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Implement and adhere to the principles of Positive Operational Culture and provide instructional services to students.
• Develop lesson plans in accordance with curriculum standards and provide direct instruction.
• Implement special education supports and accommodations for students.
• Collaborate with staff to deliver consistent curriculum and support youth.
