Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools is seeking a health paraprofessional to provide delegated health services and support to medically complex students. The role runs 31.5 hours per week across 189 days per year, with schedule to be determined by program needs, starting at a minimum hourly rate of $23.49 for the 2026-2027 period.

The position includes working closely with the LSN and administration to promote student wellbeing and learning.

Qualifications

• Experience in health care settings as EMT/paramedic/RN/LPN or similar licensure.
• Personal Care Assistant Training certification required by pre-employment process.
• Current first aid and CPR certification.
• Experience with students and understanding their needs.
• Experience working with school age children preferred.
• Ability to work under supervision and respect confidentiality.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing health and technology training.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency first aid care to students and staff.
• Monitor for adverse medication effects; assist LSN as needed.
• Administer medications and therapies under supervision.
• Assist with self-care tasks and mobility as required.
• Support individualized instruction in academic and behavioral programs 1:1 or small groups.
• Operate special education equipment safely.
• Record observations and monitor attendance daily.
• Participate in IEP conferences and school meetings as requested.
