Job summary

University of Massachusetts Medical School seeks a Senior Associate to advance health and justice policy within the Justice, Health & Equity Program. You will design, implement and evaluate reforms that improve access to health care for individuals in the criminal justice system, leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with correctional and law enforcement stakeholders.

Responsibilities include delivering policy analyses, developing program proposals, and presenting findings to clients

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public policy, public health, health economics or related field.
• Eight (8) years of related professional experience in health policy or health economics.
• Deep knowledge of the health care delivery system and policy issues.
• Experience with ACA and Medicaid.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytic abilities.
• Ability to present data clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Experience guiding multiple projects and teams to meet deadlines.
• Ability to use government research tools to inform policy findings.

Responsibilities

• Provide consulting services on health care system improvement to public agencies and non-profits.
• Lead multiple complex projects and supervise project teams.
• Develop major written deliverables, presentations and policy recommendations.
• Draft proposals, workplans, analytic plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Conduct policy analyses using diverse data sources.
• Present data and policy recommendations in formal and informal settings.
• Review and analyze potential policy and program opportunities.
• Monitor federal, state and local indicators to inform strategy.
• Provide training and support to Associates and Analysts.
• Represent the unit in meetings and conferences.
