A leading healthcare provider in Delaware is seeking a Health and Justice Practitioner to deliver essential services to vulnerable individuals in the criminal justice system. The role involves conducting health assessments, providing court reports, and assessing individual needs across various facilities. The ideal candidate will have specialized knowledge in mental health and relevant qualifications, and will work closely with service users aged 10 and above.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Health and Justice Reconnect Team for the role of Health and Justice Practitioner based in Sussex. The role will focus on providing the Reconnect service to IRC Gatwick which will be the base however cross-cover to HMP Lewes and HMP Ford may be required as well as supporting Service Users and the team in the community. The Health and Justice services identify people who have substance misuse, mental health, learning disability or other vulnerabilities when they first come onto contact with the criminal justice system or immigration system. We look to identify unmet need and vulnerabilities and offer onward referral and signposting as appropriate. The Health and Justice service work in Police Custody Suites, Courts, Prisons, Immigration Removal Centre and Community throughout Sussex and offer assessments to individuals within the Criminal Justice system including Voluntary Attendees. This is an all age service and so you will be required to work with people from the age of 10 years upwards.*THIS ROLE IS SUBJECT TO PRISON VETTING**The post holder will be expected to travel across the MPFT footprint*
