Healthconnect Texas is seeking an HIE Software Developer to join our agile development team in Houston. You will design and build integration solutions across EHR, HIS, PACS, and care management systems, work with stakeholders, and contribute to design meetings and unit tests.

The role emphasizes ObjectScript development, HealthShare experience, HL7/CCD/C-CDA integrations, cloud familiarity, and modern DevOps practices. Join HTX to help advance health information exchange across Texas.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on with InterSystems HealthShare interfaces.
• Proficiency in ObjectScript development.
• Experience with HL7 v2.x/v3 and CCD/C-CDA documents.
• Strong SQL and database skills (Caché, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, maintain and support integration solutions for disparate healthcare systems and interfaces (EHR, HIS, PACS, Care Management).
• Participate in group design meetings and author effective and concise code.
• Conduct meaningful unit tests and collaborate with stakeholders (customers, management, vendors, non-technical staff).
• Work with InterSystems HealthShare and HL7/XDS profiles implementations (XDS.b, XDS-i, XCPD, XCA).
• Ensure data security through WS-Security, SOAP and PKI.
