Responsibilities

• Chart vitals, intake, and response to treatment to ensure a clean clinical picture for the next Health Information Technician
• Escort patients to procedures and monitor telemetry during transport
• Map each patient's pain across the shift and adjust comfort measures accordingly
• Teach chemotherapy administration techniques to families taking a patient home and verify understanding
• Run phlebotomy education days and translate clinical guidance for patients
• Trace medication discrepancies back to the source order and close the gap with pharmacy
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and care teams
• Manage a hybrid panel of chronic patients and monitor strategic planning numbers
