Job summary

Southern HealthCare Management seeks a dedicated Medical Records professional and CNA in a Florida long-term care facility. You will manage medical records, prepare charts for new admissions, and audit records to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements include a valid Florida CNA license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and proficiency with Windows-based software and medical terminology. Prior LTC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid FL CNA
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience reading and interpreting medical terminology required.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Windows, Computer-Based Programs and Internet-Based Applications required.
• Prior experience in Medical Records or related healthcare support position in a LTC / Skilled-Nursing experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Responsible for record keeping and medical records management for a long-term care and short-term rehabilitation / sub-acute care nursing center.
• Prepare charts for new admissions, close medical records upon discharge, maintain physician’s orders and visit schedules, and audit to ensure records management meets center’s policies and procedures, professional standards, and state and federal laws and regulations for long-term care facilities.
