Job description

Position Highlights
  • Full-time Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30 PM EST; located in Fairfax, VA
  • ROI experience strongly preferred; medical records experience required

You will:
  • Receive and process requests for patient health information according to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information.
  • Use company and facility software effectively.
  • Follow the company's and facility's Code of Conduct and policies.
  • Report work, site issues, and volume fluctuations to your manager.
  • Assist with additional duties as needed.
  • Apply medical privacy regulations consistently to prevent unauthorized disclosures.
  • Manage patient health records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
  • Prepare and organize new patient charts, gather documents from paper and electronic sources.
  • Create digital images of paperwork for electronic storage.
  • Respond to and transmit patient record requests appropriately.
  • Handle inbound/outbound calls and assist with patient walk-ins as needed.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as handling faxes, opening mail, and data entry.
  • Meet productivity expectations at your site.
  • Schedule pickups and perform other duties as assigned.
What you will bring to the table:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to commute between locations
  • Willingness to work overtime during peak seasons
  • Basic computer skills
  • Comfort with phones, fax machines, printers, and office equipment
  • Professional communication skills in English
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in medical records
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
  • Organizational skills and multitasking ability
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
