Job description

Clarksville Rehabilitation Hospital is a brand new startup with 40 private patient suites and set to take its first patient October 2026.

Position Summary:

The Health Information Specialistis responsible forprepping, scanning, and indexing patient records,analyzingand reporting record completion, releasing patient health information, andprovidingdepartment customer service to physicians, quality/risk, other internal departments, and external requesters. The positionmust at all timessafeguard and protect the patient's right to privacy by ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to the patient's medical information and that all releases of informationare in compliance withthe request, authorization, company policy, and HIPAA regulations.

Pay:Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

MinimumQualifications:

• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) OR Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) *requiredin the following states only: Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Colorado
• One yearprior experience in a hospital medical records department.
