The Health Information Manager directs the day-to-day functions of the department in accordance with current local, state, and federal standards, guidelines, and regulations. This position serves as the Privacy Officer for Natchitoches Regional Medical Center and its subsidiaries. The Health Information Manager oversees all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to the organization’s policies and procedures covering the privacy of, and access to, patient health information in compliance with federal and state laws and the hospital’s information privacy practices. The Health Information Manager is responsible for this facility’s compliance with federal HIPAA regulations, including department-specific training for all associates of Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. may perform other duties as assigned.
