$100,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

We’re a mission-driven nonprofit hospital located near Salinas, CA, and we’re on the hunt for a dynamic HIM Manager & Privacy Officer to head up our Health Information Management Department and oversee our privacy compliance efforts.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and mentor the HIM team with purpose and precision
• Oversee medical records management, coding accuracy, and audit readiness
• Ensure airtight compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and California privacy regulations
• Respond to privacy incidents, breaches, and legal requests like a pro
• Collaborate with leadership, legal, IT, HR, and clinical teams to protect what matters most—our patients’ information

What You Bring:

• RHIT or RHIA certification (required)
• At least 2 years of HIM experience + 1 year in a leadership/supervisory role (3+ years preferred)
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Fluency in English (Spanish bilingual is a plus!)
• A commitment to compliance, quality, and teamwork
