Responsibilities

The Health Information Manager (HIM) is responsible for successful maintenance of patient records and the organizational and administrative operation of the Health Information Management Department. The HIM manages departmental operation aspects and serves as the resource for the facility regarding medical record content and regulatory requirements. The HIM ensures availability of the medical records at all times and that duties are performed in accordance with facility policies, JCAHO, federal and state regulations, and QAPI standards.

Required Experience

Previous experience caring for adolescent patients is essential. Med‑Surg experience is a plus.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree or experience in healthcare medical records management or other relevant field.
• License: None.
• Experience: 1‑3 years in healthcare medical records.
