Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Tulsa is seeking a Health Information Management Technician to assist with inpatient assembly, analysis and admissions processing, including sorting, proofing and error identification of reports. You will also provide telephone back-up to support HIM operations.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and any Health Information Management program training. Prior medical record experience is preferred and beneficial for this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with specialized training in an approved business, secretarial school or college.
• Prefer specialized training in an approved Health Information Management Program.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient assembly, analysis and admissions processing (sorting, proofing and error identification of all reports) to support the Health Information Management function. Provides telephone back-up as needed.

The responsibilities of the Health Information Management (“HIM”) Technician include, but are not limited to: inpatient assembly, analysis and admissions processing (including sorting, proofing and error identification of all reports) in support of the Health Information Management function. The HIM Technician also provides telephone back-up as needed.

Education and Training:

High School diploma or its equivalent with specialized training in an approved business, secretarial school or college. Prefer specialized training in an approved Health Information Management Program.

Experience:

Previous medical record experience in healthcare setting preferred.
