Responsibilities

• The HIM representative is responsible for multiple record processing and record retrieval tasks to ensure the accurate and timely retrieval and distribution of patient medical records for internal and external customers.
• Deals directly with the public by telephone and/or in person regarding requests to the Health Information Management Department.
• Utilizes a working understanding of the clinical processes to achieve standard of care and documentation for the purpose of maintaining records for completeness.
